Find the screen time that matters
Do not treat every minute equally. Start with the sessions that damage sleep, interrupt work, or replace something you care about.
Reduce automatic openings
Disable unnecessary notifications, remove distracting apps from the first home screen, and keep the phone away from the bed or desk when possible.
Combine limits with a personal reason
A limit is easier to ignore when it only says time is up. Pair it with a concrete goal such as sleep before midnight, finish a chapter, or complete one work task.
Review behavior, not only totals
Track whether automatic app openings and late-night sessions decrease. A smaller number is useful, but regaining control over when and why you use the phone matters more.
